Uniform

All students of the Montfort College of Performing Arts are required to arrive to class dressed appropriately in the correct dance attire. The uniform must be worn at all times - no exceptions will be made.

This code promotes discipline and proper classroom etiquette. It is also important for the teacher to be able to see body shape and give corrections positively and accurately - wearing a uniform ensures that this is possible. Long hair should be tied back in a bun or ponytail away from the face. Jewellery should not be worn. Health and fitness trackers such as Fitbits and smart watches are not allowed in class. Stud earrings are acceptable.

Wearing the proper clothing and footwear provides safety and is appropriate for the class that is being taken, correct footwear should always be worn as not doing so can risk injury. No student will be allowed to dance in their bare feet or socks.
