Tumbling

Tumbling in acro dance refers to a series of acrobatic movements performed on the floor, typically involving flips, cartwheels, and other gymnastic-style manoeuvres.

It emphasises elements such as:

Flips and Somersaults: Movements like backflips, front flips, and cartwheels that showcase agility and aerial skills.

Rolls: Techniques such as forward rolls and back rolls that help develop body control and coordination.

Balance and Control: Tumbling requires proper body alignment and control to execute movements safely and effectively.

Integration with Dance: Tumbling is often incorporated into dance routines, blending acrobatic skills with choreography for a visually dynamic performance.

Skill Progression: Tumbling skills are built progressively, allowing dancers to advance from basic movements to more complex tricks over time.

This class is solely focussed on skills progression and does not include any dance element. This class should be taken alongside an acro dance class.

Overall, tumbling adds excitement and athleticism to acro dance, enhancing both the physical and artistic aspects of the performance.
