Company Drama Class

Company Drama Programme

Our Company Drama Programme represents the very highest level of drama training within the school — designed for passionate, committed young performers who are ready to challenge themselves, grow in confidence, and truly find their voice on stage.

This is more than just a class — it is a team, a creative family, and a space where students are inspired to push boundaries, take risks, and develop both as performers and as individuals.

The programme is aimed at secondary school students, with two distinct levels:

• Intermediate Company – for students in 1st to 3rd Year

• Senior Company – for students in 4th to 6th Year

Intermediate Company meets on Friday evenings from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, followed by Senior Company from 7:30pm – 9:00pm.

The classes are facilitated by Sinead Crowley whose experience and passion for drama help guide and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Entry into the Company Drama Programme is by audition only and is open exclusively to students who are currently enrolled in our drama classes. Auditions take place once a year, typically in May. Students must continue attending their regular weekly drama class alongside their Company training, ensuring a strong foundation while advancing at a higher level.

Each session is designed to develop advanced acting technique, emotional depth, character work, and ensemble performance. Throughout the year, students also have the opportunity to work with guest tutors and industry professionals, gaining valuable insight into a range of styles and approaches to performance.

Performance is at the heart of everything we do. Each year our Company Drama students take to the stage in the intimate setting of the Cork Arts Theatre, where both our Intermediate Company and Senior Company present their own full productions.

In recent years our Intermediate Company has delivered engaging and imaginative productions, including:

Remote (2025)

The Periodicals (2026)

Our Senior Company has delivered a powerful and diverse body of work including:

The Boy Preference (2023)

Old Times (2024)

Heavy Weather (2025)

Replica (2026)

The programme is ideally suited to students who are considering a future in acting or musical theatre at third level, offering them the training, experience, and confidence needed to take the next step.
