BROADWAY COMES TO CORK!
We are so excited to announce that Broadway star Nikki Snelson will teach a masterclass for the Montfort’s this coming September! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from one of Broadway’s most talented stars!
NIKKI SNELSON BIOGRAPHY
Nikki Snelson is most recognized for her performance as Brooke Wyndam in the original Broadway and MTV cast of LEGALLY BLONDE. She has also been seen on Broadway in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN (starring Bernadette Peters) and SWEET CHARITY (starring Christina Applegate). Nikki played "Cassie" in the US National Tour of A Chorus Line and also performed in the Broadway National Tours of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SHOW BOAT, HELLO, DOLLY, and Jonathan Larson's TICK TICK…BOOM(Susan)! Snelson originated the role of The Mad Hatter in Frank Wildhorn's Wonderland. Recently, Nikki played Velma in Chicago at Maine State Theater and Sally Bowles in Cabaret at The Napa Valley Opera House. Snelson was featured in the groundbreaking documentary EVERY LITTLE STEP as well as the major motion pictures REEFER MADNESS and ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. On the small screen, Nikki has been seen on Desperate Housewives and All My Children. She received her training in Theatre from Boston Conservatory. Nikki grew up in the St Louis area and made her professional debut at the St Louis Muny. Ms Snelson has directed, choreographed, and taught around the world. In 2014, Nikki travelled to Singapore to direct and choreograph "The Wedding Singer."
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
I am incredibly overwhelmed and excited to be traveling to Cork in September to teach the brilliant talent and rising stars of Ireland. Our classes will be challenging and inspiring for all different ages and experience levels. Courses will include Audition Technique, Vocal, Performance, Song and Dance, and Broadway Dance/Choreography. We will learn choreography and staging from original Broadway shows such as Legally Blonde, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity and Newsies. Whether you dream of a career in the West End or on Broadway OR you just love to sing and dance...This program is for you!!! I look forward to working with you on this fabulous new adventure. See you soon!
This masterclass is the only one happening in Cork. Places will be in high demand so early booking is advisable.
The dates are the 19th and 20th September in Penrose Wharf.
€35 - a two hr masterclass
€55 – 2 x two hr masterclasses over two days.
A €20 deposit secures a place.
The masterclasses will be divided into two age groups 9 – 13 yrs and 14 – 18 yrs.
