Class Registration for 201-2015
Dear parents and students,
Saturday the 31st May saw the culmination of our year with two sell performances of ‘Applause 2014’ at Cork Opera House. I’m sure you will agree that all students performed beautifully and with confidence and gusto. We were so proud of what they achieved both in the show and throughout the year.
It has been a busy, action packed year in Montforts with many of the students performing in ’Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’, our pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, ‘Broadway Kidz’, ‘A Grand Night for Singing’ and of course ‘Applause’. In addition the majority of students took dance, drama and singing exams with accredited colleges from the UK and Ireland.
Looking ahead to next year we will stage ‘The Little Mermaid’ in the Everyman in October, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in the Firkin Crane in January, ‘The Witches’ in the Everyman in the Spring and ‘Broadway Kidz’, ‘A Grand Night for Singing’ and ‘Applause 2015’ in Cork Opera House. In addition optional exams will be offered across all disciplines. New for 2014-15 is the introduction of a company dance class. These classes will be offered to primary and senior students and entry to the class will be by audition only. The classes will run in Penrose Wharf on Monday evenings and each class will be 90 minutes in duration. All styles of dance will be covered including commercial, contemporary, jazz, modern and ballet. Intensive training will also be provided on technique and corner work. The class will be facilitated by some members of our staff and guest choreographers and dancers from across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

At the beginning of July we will launch a fully integrated online booking system which includes secure online payments. We will contact you nearer the time with details.
Montfort Vocal Studio
Due to the high demand for one on one singing lessons from within and outside the school we are delighted to announce that we have taken a second unit in Penrose Wharf adjacent to the studio which will become our vocal centre. Classes will run Monday to Saturday from 3.30pm daily. Places are strictly limited so please email info@montfortcollege.com to secure your slot for September.
