Snow White Auditions - ENSEMBLE

Dear student and parents,
Many thanks for attending the recent auditions for our panto Snow White.
We were overwhelmed with the response with over 200 students from all over the city and county auditioning. Coupled with this the standard of each audition was exceptionally high. Over the last two weeks we have studied each applicant’s audition carefully and have finally selected 130 students to participate in the show.
Those listed below are the ensemble who are a key ingredient to any panto. The ensemble will be involved in four musical numbers in the production where they will be required to sing and dance.
We have divided the ensemble into two groups - RED and BLUE and each group will perform five shows each. These dates will be decided before the end of November.
The performance dates in January are as follows;
2nd – 2.30 & 7.30 - Thurs
3rd - 2.30 & 7.30 – Fri
4th – 2.30 & 7.30 – Sat
5th – 2.30 – Sun
10th – 7.30 – Fri
11th – 7.30 – Sat
12th – 2.30 – Sun
In terms of rehearsals we plan to rehearse every weekend; Friday from 6.30 – 8.30 and Sunday mornings or afternoons. There will be no rehearsals from the 23rd – 27th December. From the 28th December we move to the theatre and the entire cast will be required from the 28th Dec – 1st January. We open on the 2nd January at 2.30pm. The commitment from the cast is substantial, but necessary in order for us to stage a quality production. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be available within the next two weeks.
We intend to commence rehearsals this weekend in Penrose Wharf. The schedule is as follows;
Friday 15th Nov – BLUE group 6.30 – 8.00 and RED group 8.00 – 9.30
Sunday 17th Nov - RED group 4.00 – 6.00 and BLUE group 6.00 – 8.00
The following weekend the rehearsals will be earlier on both days.
The only cost involved is a €20 costume fee. This goes towards the costumes we buy each year for the panto.
If at this point you no longer wish to participate please let me know, otherwise I look forward to working with you all on what should be a magical show where you will have lots of fun, meet new friends and get to perform some wonderful song and dance numbers.
