IDTA Dance Exams 2021
 

The IDTA Dance and musical theatre exams will take place from Monday 29th November - Sunday 12th December. 

IN CLASS exams apply to mini Montfort students and some primary classes. These exams will be filmed in class by the teacher and forwarded to the IDTA examiners in the UK. 

STUDIO exams apply to some primary classes and to all secondary students. These exams will be filmed over two Sundays - 5th and 12th December. 

Please refer to the timetables for your allocated time. 

For STUDIO exams students need to be at the examination centre 15 mins prior to the exam time and can be collected 30 minutes after. 

Dance attire is compulsory for all exams. If you do not have a purple skirt we will have spares on the day of the exam. No jewellery of any description is permitted.

Rosette Exam Attire and Musical Theatre Introductory to Stage 2
Purple Leotard and Purple Skirt
Black Tights & Black Ballet Shoes
Hair in Bun, if possible, if not tied up away from the face.

Medal Test Exam Attire
Purple Leotard
Purple Skirt
White ankle socks (Preparatory and Primary only)
Black Tights & Black Ballet Shoes or Black Spilt Sole Jazz Shoes (all other grades)
Hair in Bun, if possible, if not tied up away from the face.

Modern Jazz Grade Exams Attire
Black top/t-shirt
Black footless tights
Hair in Bun, if possible, if not tied up away from the face.

Tap Exam Attire
Purple Leotard (Preparatory and Primary only)
Purple Skirt and white ankle socks (Preparatory and Primary only)
Black Leotard (All other grades)
Black top, tights or leggings & Black Tap Shoes with heel taps
Hair in Bun, if possible, if not tied up away from the face.

Ballet Grades Exam Attire
Purple Leotard and Purple Skirt (Preparatory and Primary only)
Black Leotard (Grade 1-3)
Pink Ballet Tights & Ballet Shoes
Hair in Bun, if possible, if not tied up away from the face.

Musical Theatre Exams Stage 3
Black short sleeved t-shirt
Black leggings or dance pants
Black dance shoes
Hair in Bun, if possible, if not tied up away from the face.
